Fine artist, color expert and paint legend Annie Sloan CBE is celebrating 35 years since the invention of a new kind of decorative furniture paint.

Considered a world’s leading authority on paint, color and style, Annie Sloane was awarded a CBE for Services to Interior Design in 2023. “Wow! 35 years. How did this happen? I am overjoyed! When we launched in 1990 there was always a grand plan, but the details fell into place one step at a time as we grew into the business we are now!  I’ve had a huge amount of help, kindness and friendship from my community of stockists and painters all around the world who share my love for design, color and decorative painting. “I still have lots of plans and there are so many things in the pipeline I want to do so watch this space!”

Stress Less

Negative emotions, jealousy, fear, heartbreak, resentment are often seen as enemies to be conquered or ignored. But what if they are actually the signposts leading us to deeper, more profound love? What if frustration in a relationship is not a signal to run but an invitation to listen? What if loneliness is not a void but a space for self-discovery? Our feature piece, 5 Lessons Negative Emotions Teach Us About Love (pg. 10), explores these questions, offering wisdom for those willing to look beneath the surface of their own emotions.

The Corner Office Mindset

In The Corner Office Mindset (pg. 16), we examine the mindset required to thrive in times of disruption and uncertainty, the power that extends beyond boardrooms into our personal lives. And in my conversation with Dame Neslyn Watson-Druée (pg. 18), we discuss moral courage in leadership, a quality just as essential in love as it is in business.
