EU Focus: A Triumph of Hope

Let’s begin with some great good news. Democracy has spoken—and it was loud, proud, and pro-European. In Romania, the presidential elections have drawn record numbers to the polls. In a powerful show of civic duty, millions stood up for a vision of unity, stability, and forward momentum.
The youth showed up. The elders showed up. And together, they voted not out of fear, but out of hope. It is a much-needed reminder that in some corners of the world, democracy is still a flame being tended with care. Romania, we salute you!

Better Lifestyle Choices
Women are trained to read life like a book with a predictable arc. Childhood, youth, family, career. And then—some vague idea of winding down. Of becoming quieter. Less central. But what if the story isn’t following that arc at all?
What if you’re not in the final chapters, but somewhere in the middle?
What if the most honest, most you part hasn’t even happened yet?
We also examine the rising push for mental health funding for children, which is not just an investment in the future. And finally, the milk debate is back. Dairy or plant-based? The answer might surprise you. We’ve poured the science, ethics and taste into one thoughtful review—because what you drink at the start of your day is more powerful than you think.
At the Happy Table
Summer’s blush has arrived, and so has strawberry season. Sweet, short-lived, and oh-so-satisfying. At the Happy Table, we explore recipes and rituals that celebrate the humble strawberry, from garden-patch breakfasts to tart-sweet desserts that belong at every gathering. Reading and Writing Room- Books We Love
The federal court’s intervention arrives at a crucial moment for cultural and educational institutions. The ruling specifically halts attempts to dismantle the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), a key federal agency providing vital support to public institutions across the country. This ruling is reinstating essential funding for libraries, museums, and minority-owned businesses nationwide. And that is to be celebrated!

This week, we’re deeply moved by titles that give voice to the often-unspoken struggles of young South Asian women who walk the tightrope between cultural expectation and personal autonomy. These stories—poetic, poignant, and powerful—remind us how universal the journey for selfhood really is.
Whether you’re navigating intergenerational identity, defying stereotypes, or simply trying to claim your space in the world, these books are a testament to courage in the everyday.
So… What Is Your Expiry Date?
This edition doesn’t offer easy answers. But it does offer space. Space to ask yourself:
What were you really born to be?
Not just what you’re doing for a paycheck, or how long you can stretch your life, but how deep you can live it. How well can you stand in your own light? How much love can you give? How much of yourself are you willing to bring to life before the clock runs out. When you stop worrying about how much time you have left, you start making the time you do have count.
There’s a strange psychology around turning 50, 60, even 70. Women are conditioned to see these numbers as a kind of finish line. A point where your relevance dims, where invisibility cloaks your shoulders in the grocery store, or at a job interview. But if you live into your 90s and beyond—which, by the way, is no longer unusual—then that “finish line” is happening right in the middle of the story. It’s like reaching the halfway point of a novel and assuming the author ran out of ideas.
We are here to give you the clarity and courage you need to re-imagine your story!
Your Humbled Story Steward,
