The Power of Sisterhood- How Women Express Their Human Potential

Expressing yourself as a woman could be a tall order and many generations before us were conditioned to believe that women weren’t good enough to lead or bring their unique talent to blossom. During this year we experienced very difficult times but Sisterhood acts as a catalyst and amplifier for women’s human potential. Together we celebrate the cycles of nature and ourselves and feel more connected, relaxed, nurtured and recharged. There is a sense of belonging in Sisterhood that helps us feel balance and grounded, empowered, confident and radiant.

Ageing is an extraordinary process where you become the person you should have been.

David Bowie

It’s Wednesday afternoon, three o‘clock board’s meeting as I rush through the office hallways in my grey suit and red pumps wishing I would have taken the black ones instead this morning. Is the color too much? Too happy and joyful? Are they too feminine? Last thing I want is to appear too feminine and not be taken seriously, again. But, I just love how these red pumps make me feel and lift my mood … maybe no one will notice!

The boardroom is flooded with the spring afternoon sunshine and bird song seeping in through the slightly ajar window. I am grateful for this gift of fresh air in that stiff room. The sea of dark suited men colleagues seated around the table. Water bottle, check. Note pad and pen, check. No one makes eye contact as the faces are buried under the deep mask of important busy-ness. Check.

Wednesday meeting adjourned and I am questioning my silence. I have not let my voice to be heard, once again, even though I truly believed in my heart that my contribution can make this project shine. That’s what hurts the most. The fact that I kept my ideas to myself, and as a result, no one could benefit from my contribution. And you know what else? For not allowing myself to shine my light on me. Ever felt like this in your life? At workplace, with your partner, friends or family?  I did.

Having a seat at the table does not mean having a voice

A few years later, I went exploring ancient healing modalities in South East Asia, peeking into Hinduism scriptures in Indian ashrams and delving into Tibetan Buddhist studies with monks in Himalayas. Little I knew that I was on a journey of Self-discovery. Finally, I understood that having a voice is the most powerful act of self-care. Women’s lives are transformed when they decide to step into their feminine power and, against their own vulnerability and limiting self beliefs, are willing to be heard and become visible.

There is a time in your life when you feel everything and everyone. Making meaningful connections with other women and yourself is about cultivating the divine feminine principles that represent the essence of life force and allow me to express my authentic self. In a sisterhood you start learning how to be compassionate of each other’s life journeys, birthing our hopes, together. How do you enter that invisible world of meaningful connections, where the energy becomes palp- able, move-able, mould- able?

When setting intentions and making bold choices in your personal life and carrier, you meet with your highest potential and start aligning with all you want to attract into your life. It wasn’t until I start tapping into higher consciousness, that I became intimately familiar with the quality of our own energy fields. For me, like for all the empaths out there, this was crucial. When you absorb everything (and everyone) you also loose sense of what is “ yours” and what isn’t.

Sharpening my listening skills helped me expand my mindset and consciousness further, and I am now experiencing unlimited personal growth within our sisterhood. Listening is so underrated and yet, it is precisely these golden moments of active listening that make us better women, mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends. Holding space for other women by listening without offering advice is deepening our intuition and empowering women to intuitively tap into their own intuitive abilities. Listening I learned how to say NO with love and compassion.

We also enjoy infinite skills and talents held within the container of Sisterhood, bringing new ways into being authentic with courage and trust, applying the divine feminine principles of receptivity, openness and collaboration versus competition.

A woman is a woman, regardless where she is coming from or where is she going. No matter what a woman does for a living or what title she holds, we all share that essence of womanhood, that innate desire to connect in a meaningful way with each other– to be sisters  – share, laugh, cry, support, empower and heal as a force of good. Our wrinkles tell the story of where we have been, what we have experienced and lived through, as women. The leaf of the tree turning rusty color in the autumn, crisp from the sun, doesn’t look back to it’s green days. Every season is beautiful and has that certain magic in it. Find yours beautiful woman.
