LILYSILK's first European physical store opened on 17 July at Oberpollinger, one of Munich's landmark department stores, giving shoppers in Germany and across the continent their first chance to touch and try the brand's silk pieces before buying.

The store sits on the second floor of Oberpollinger at Neuhauser Strasse 18, Munich's central shopping thoroughfare. It stocks the full breadth of what LILYSILK does online: silk bedding and home textiles, women's apparel, loungewear, fashion accessories, and cashmere and wool pieces. The company says it is the world's leading silk brand, with previous store openings in New York and Hong Kong. The Munich address is its first European outpost.

Germany has been one of LILYSILK's established European markets, and the company says it chose Munich partly in response to requests from German customers on social media who had been following the brand and wanting a local place to shop. That context matters for any silk buyer who has browsed the brand's site from Frankfurt or Berlin: this store exists, in part, because customers like them asked for it.
